Baked Apples


Serves 2
 
Ingredients
 
50g (2oz) raisins
2 cooking apples
1 tablespoon of cold water
1 teaspoon sugar

Method


 
  1. Soak the raisins in hot water for 5 minutes (to plump them up) and then drain.
     
  2. Wash and core the apples.
     
  3. Score the skin around the middle of each apple with a sharp knife.
     
  4. Place on a pie plate and spoon the raisins into each cavity.
     
  5. Pour the cold water over the apples and sprinkle with sugar.
     
  6. Cook for 8-10 minutes. Allow to stand for 5 minutes before serving.
